Introduction

Post-doctoral researcher, collaborating mentor is prof XU Yingqing. My current research focus on children's learning and development based on tangible learning tools. Meanwhile, I am responsible for the join research project between Tsinghua University Lifelong Learning Lab and the LEGO foundation on "learning through play" and its corresponding research and tool development.

Di Zhao received her Master of Arts in Education from Stanford University in 2015. She also holds Teaching Certificate in Social Studies in the State of California. Di graduated from the Ohio State University with dual degrees in Political Science and International Relations. Since 2017, Di has been working as a researcher at Tsinghua University Lab for Lifelong Learning. She has been a mentor to a variety of student programs including Tsinghua University-Geneva University’s joint program for Sustainable Development Goals, and Tsinghua University’s Experience China Global Intercultural Program. Prior to joining the lab, Di has worked at Sunnyvale School District as a Social Science teacher and served as a core member on Language Review Team as well as on the English Language Advisory at the district level. Di also has experience working with MOE’s Chinese National Commission for UNESCO.
