Introduction

Chen got her Master degree of Architecture and Urban Development from the University College of London. Before that, she had her Bachelor degree of Architectural Design from the University of Edinburgh. She is a fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a Chinese qualified Intermediate engineer. She has work experience in architectural design and urban planning for more than 8 years. She worked as a project leader and urban planner at the Peking University Architectural Design Research Institute. Before she came back to China, she was an architect at CallisonRTKL, an American leading commercial architectural design firm. In the field of architecture, she participated in and manage over the design of many commercial complexes, special stores, apartments buildings and art galleries. In the field of urban planning, he has led a number of key planning projects, including the planning of Hainan Tropical Rain Forest National Park and the comprehensive plan of Dalian Lvshunkou TaiYangGou Cultural Industry Park. She currently engages in researches on city programing and space typology. She is particularly interested in making spatial models that formed by information. She also pays high attention to the science logic in design process, which relies on the data evident and technology support.
