HE Shuang graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Information Arts and Design Department of the Academy of Arts and Design at Tsinghua University. In the same year, she also obtained a second bachelor's degree in Economics from the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University. She was then admitted to the Academy of Arts and Design without examination, where she pursued a master's degree in the interdisciplinary field of Information Arts and Design, earning a Master of Engineering degree. After completing her master's, she joined Tsinghua University’s Future Lab as a research assistant. In 2020, she returned to the Academy of Arts and Design to pursue her PhD under the supervision of Professor Xu Yingqing, focusing on research related to future living environments and user experience design.
In her research career, she has participated in projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and several industry collaboration projects. During her master's studies, she was awarded second place in the 2015 China-U.S. Maker Competition Grand Final. As an undergraduate, she received second prize in the Interactive Works category of the Beijing University Student Animation Design Competition. Her undergraduate thesis was recognized as outstanding at the university level, with her graduation work selected for the National Key Art Institutes' Outstanding Graduation Works Exhibition. Additionally, she has been awarded the National Inspirational Scholarship and several academic scholarships throughout her studies.
