Natural Human Machine Interaction and User Experience
Introduction

The study of human-environment interaction explores the interaction and relationship between the natural behavior of people in a given space and environment. Though the environments in which human live are diverse, the basic dimensions of information of users in a space is consistent, including their identity, location, distance, displacement, and orientation.  We use this as an entry point to analyze and comprehend user intentions in different situations,. Based on this, we further explore how to provide users with different forms of information feedback—such as visual, auditory and other forms of information presentation—how to increase the efficiency of information transmission in an environment, and how to improve users’ feelings towards the interactive environment.

Theoretical model of screen interaction based on spatial information and demonstration prototyping

This project intends to provide users with more diverse, personalized or more accessible information presentation in large-screen display systems by studying the interaction between user location distance and large-screen display devices in physical space. Flexible user dynamic behavior model and design guidelines for visual information presentation was proposed.

A study of behavioral efficiency in public work environments

In collaboration with Alibaba, we analyze the potential link between user dynamic behavior and goods flow information for efficiency optimization by observing the spatial relationship between users and goods in the retail environment. Using data collection and integration, we will digitize and standardize user behavior information, analyze factors affecting user purchases, propose models and analysis methods for predicting user behavior, tosuggest strategies that may solve user-experience problems, improve user shopping satisfaction, and increase product purchase rates and to improve the overall effectiveness of the supply chain.
