Natural Human Machine Interaction and User Experience
Introduction

To enhance the user's sense of presence in immersive space, virtual space is presented in a way that provides a sense of touch, balance, or proprioception. A more spatial experience can be achieved by making use of content that changes with the user's behavour to guide users through space. The project focuses how humans interact with the ground. When visiting any space, people will step on the ground and the sensations of terrain, texture, and friction that come from the soles of their feet when walking constitute a part of daily experience. These sensations are constantly present but easily ignored. However, when they disappear or do not match the audiovisual content, people will quickly feel out of place. Therefore, reproducing the sensations of stepping on real ground can enhance the tangibility of virtual space and one's sense of presence.
