In 2020, the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee "New Infrastructure Policy", the new infrastructure will accelerate the penetration of digitalization, intelligence and networking into traditional industries. 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and big data provide technical support for the large-scale development of the Internet of Things, and also accelerate the development of the smart home industry, smart home products are slowly coming into every Chinese family.
The AeX "Universal Design for Smart Home" project is dedicated to "all-user-centered" universal design. The purpose is to make smart home products more inclusive and universal so that more groups besides ordinary users can get the convenience of smart home products. We also want to understand the insights of different groups of people on smart home products so that we can understand the needs and variations of the market in diverse groups. In this project, we will provide an overview of our current research platform, research methodology and research content centered on universal design, with a focus on user experience and product enhancement. We hope to contribute to the drive for an "all-design" smart home.
Most traditional usability analyses of home appliances have used eye-tracking for a single extraction of data. In this study, we integrate the user's interaction with the appliance to perform a unified analysis. In addition to eye-movement data, we also involve stress data and physiological data this time, aiming to explore the combined effects of different factors on the appliance usage.
The project experiments have been completed, and database construction and data analysis are currently underway.
