Abstract

In recent years, with the rapid development of computer graphics, especially computer animation research and application, a large number of digital bodies such as mecha bodies and exoskeleton have appeared in science fiction movies. This phenomenon of body reference has gradually formed a set of unique visual symbols. Combining the intersectionality of artificial intelligence and digital algorithms, how to shift from a natural body based on real actors to a digital body, and on this basis, maintain the naturalness of their behavior and emotions, thereby forming a natural fusion and interaction of the behavior and emotion of the digital body, has become another challenge in the research and application of computer graphics. From the perspective of embodied cognition, this article takes the digital characters in a series of science fiction movies as examples, and recognizes the body schema as a key to understand the natural integration of digitalized body behavior and emotions. The body schema is classified into digital body, compound body and artificial body. From body schema to inner perception and the spatial transformation of body schema in science fiction movies, it analyzes the transformation and interaction of spaces in theory. Henceforth, the related research will have a positive effect on how to create more humane virtual characters in science fiction movies.
