On Oct. 22, a delegation of more than 40 people from Japan under the China-Japan Young Scientists Exchange Program (Sakura Science Exchange Program) visited Tsinghua University to learn and discuss about cooperation methods between academic fields and industry. The visiting group consisted of civil servants from Japanese provincial and municipal government departments and institutions, as well as researchers and young scholars from universities and research institutions.

The China-Japan Young Scientists Exchange Program (Sakura Science Exchange Program) was launched in 2016 by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Japan Agency for the Promotion of Science and Technology. The program hopes to further promote the exchange and cooperation between the scientific and technological personnel of China and Japan, and enhance the understanding and friendship between the scientific and technological communities of two countries.
